Practice for the upcoming months

This weekend Drew and I are practicing for August 17th through November 22nd. This will be the lapse between when Reese leaves for The Citadel Fall Semester and his first furlough for Thanksgiving.

Reese, Myla, her brother and his new wife went on a small holiday to Wisconsin for some good old fashioned family bonding. They will need this time to formulate their plans for when Reese is away.

Drew and I also need this weekend to spend together. We have formed a new type of bond and have become thicker than thieves. It is good to get to really know the ins and outs of my younger son.

I had practically five years with Reese before Drew came along. We did everything together and my older son and I are very close; friends as well as mother and son.

Now I get that same type of opportunity to develop a lasting relationship with the younger of my two sons. Of course, it will be different because Drew is much younger than Reese was when we had our time together. I think, though, if we both want to develop that lasting friendship, now is our time to do so.

This weekend will provide us with the means, method and opportunity to begin that time. I, for one, am truly looking forward to it!Drew&Q
