How can someone exploit the elderly?

The Wheaton Patch announced this week that the Wheaton Police Department charged Rhonda Y. Arnold, a 44-year-old resident of Lombard with felony financial exploitation of the elderly. What the heck? How can anyone do such a thing?

As is September 11th is not hard on everyone anyway, then we get to hear how this woman not only exploited the elderly for a short period of time, but that she was charged with the crime for a length of time between July 1st, 2012 and October 10th, 2012. She exploited people on the 400 block of County Farm Road in Wheaton.

What is sad is that this woman does not realize that With Age Comes Respect. She was back out on the street after she was booked at WPD and taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Make no qualms about it, she will be back in court October 21st and I hope she has a really good explanation for a really sick thing that she has done!

I hope this woman is ashamed of herself for taking advantage of the elderly, but unfortunately people like this don’t think of anyone but themselves. That is very sad indeed! I certainly wish that I could change their outlook.
