Dad’s input into the scene

Dad is mom’s sidekick. At 71 years of age, this couple of 51 years does most everything together. In today’s world that is a misnomer! No one stays married that long and if they do, many times the couple lives separate lives.

Dad supports mom’s decision to come and help me this weekend, even though he would rather be at home – especially since his best friend, Ron, is in bad health and dad wants to be around to support his buddy in his time of need. But he is here, nonetheless, and I am able to go and visit Reese, my son, who is attending The Citadel in South Carolina.

Thanks to the loving support of both of my parents I have had the nerve to start not one but two businesses. I learned early on the value of hard work and dedication. I know what it means to give your all to what you believe in. Thanks to these true values, I am able to live my life knowing that With Age Comes Respect.

One day I will take care of my parents just as they have always taken good care of me. I will not be as blessed to have a long-term marriage commitment as this was not a path I was able to go down unfortunately, but I do have love. It surrounds me and I am truly grateful!DSC_0602
