A brilliant week to enjoy the great outdoors

This week has been perfect autumn temperatures. The days have been in the low to mid-70’s and the nights between 40 and 50 degrees – perfect sleeping weather. It is also great to be outside with the ladies in my care.

Once a senior gets a change of pace, the exhilaration they display is remarkable. They look healthy, act energetic and seem to function as though they were 20 years younger. All around it is just such a good thing to experience.

It is very important to take advantage of weeks like this since we know that in the Midwest that this type of weather will not be able to last forever. Soon and very soon we will be in the throes of the winter-time blues; stuck inside with nowhere to turn until the weather changes once again in the spring. So now, whether we are outside watching a parking lot, talking to neighbors, reading a book or watching the dog romp, it is just enjoyable to be together in the nice weather.

So, while the good days last, the ladies and I will be out and about doing our thing in the Chicagoland sun. We all need to store up as much Vitamin C as possible before we hibernate for winter. With Age Comes Respect. I know that and respect it, do you?
