Many times when a change occurs in a senior’s physical characteristics, the questions that mount up in their mind weigh heavily. It is a great day when a doctor confirms that the issue is nothing to worry about – just a normal part of aging.
When the good news comes just before Thanksgiving, the senior has so much more to be thankful for. In fact, when the news is positive right before the holiday denoted to giving thanks, it is a real reason to celebrate – a real reason to be thankful.
My seniors this year can be much more thankful than my seniors last year. They are healthier, thus happier than my clients from last year. I know that I am very thankful and grateful for that.
The older we get, the more anticipation sets in. Will this be the last of our holidays here on Earth? For unbelievers, this must be an especially anticipatory time.
I am just grateful that my seniors do not have to worry so much this Thanksgiving. They can get together with their families, feeling the mutual love for the moments at hand.
Thank you God for having a hand in my mantra of With Age Comes Respect! This Thanksgiving will be the better for it!
