Only a few days until families get together

I was very fortunate this weekend because I was able to get together with my family for an early Christmas celebration. I just pray that all my clients get that same opportunity – if only on Christmas Day.

It is very sad when seniors are left alone on holidays. It is great that I know those in my care currently will not be alone and forgotten. They will be with their family members and celebrating like I was able to do yesterday. If only I could guarantee this for every one of my seniors.

Sometimes I wish I had a lot of money so that I could guarantee some happiness to more seniors. But I can only do what I do.

So this week I will make certain that houses are prepared, goodies are available and everyone is as ready to celebrate as I will be again with my own sons on Wednesday. I want my ladies to remember exactly what family means and what the spirit of this holiday has to offer.

In the United States we are very lucky. We mainly get what we want, but as we age we get less of it. Some elders are forgotten altogether.

Since I know that With Age Comes Respect, I will make certain that this does not happen to anyone I know!
