Remembering the love (posted late on 09/22 from 09/21)

While my weekends are a blessed, splendid couple of days to spend with Drew and to talk with Reese, my son that is in Charleston, South Carolina, attending The Citadel, they are also a time of separation from my clients. The natural scheme of things is that younger people will live longer than older people, so it is always in the back of my mind that my clients may decide to take the long nap while I am away from them. At this point, I would be glad that they are at peace, but at the same time, I would miss them horribly and be sad that I was not there to say goodbye.

I suppose that this is just a natural progression in the job, but I do feel as though I take my position of caretaker much more seriously than many large organizations. I know for a fact that my two employees feel the same exact way as well! That is the reason that I sought these two ladies out; their caring spirit and boundless love for all!

While I am away on the weekends, I remember the love that I receive. I pray for those that I take care of and I also pray that I will be granted more time with them. Their endless love is something everyone craves. That is why my staff and I believe so readily that With Age Comes Respect.
