Can you do what I do?

Can you listen to the same stories a million times without blinking an eye or getting irritated? Can you help elders to remember to use the bathroom? Can you clean up after someone at least twice your age and not complain? Can you help people to eat more wholesome and healthy diets by inserting your own recipes into their daily diet? Can you do what I do?
Can you help people get to the doctor on time? Can you schedule events so that the older generation doesn’t just sit in their house and feel lonely and afraid? Can you have hours of conversation about nothing at all but learn so much more about the past than you ever would otherwise? Can you simply listen? Can you do what I do?
Can you lift heavy boxes and rearrange furniture? Can you dispose of bags of garbage in inclement weather? Can you do dishes and laundry and take care of homes other than your own? Can you do what I do?
If you can say yes to any one of the above, you have potential. If you say yes to each and every question asked and you are not already a caregiver, you are in the wrong line of business. You must stop immediately and look into the greatest job there is out there….the job that shows that With Age Comes Respect. You need to be a caregiver!

Melissa is the proud mother of two boys. She also like to take care of all of her elderly clients as though they were her actual flesh and blood, too. Melissa began her elderly care business, Time to Care, in August, 2012. Since then, she has successfully seen several clients through life and onto the next life. She writes about what she knows, what she doesn't know, and reveals all the research in between. She believes that elderly care is the best thing she has ever done in life; second only to being a mother!
