Enjoying every moment

As I stated on Sunday, elder caregiving is a very static position. Many people wonder just how I can venture from person to person for short – or long – bits of time, get to know them just in time to let them go beyond this world and into a better one (at least that is what I believe!). I guess this is the task I was sent here to Earth to master.
I enjoy doing what I do. While cleaning my home seems like a never ending useless task, cleaning for elders, seeing the utter joy fit their face to a tee, and hearing their delight about living so well just does something for my soul. I try to find something bigger and better to do each time I complete a task for them.
When I cook for others, I look for healthy but delicious foods that will energize their being. I also like to bake for them so that they have a little something to remember me by until I knock at their door the next time I arrive.
Everything that I do for these individuals is to show them that With Age Comes Respect. Every time I do something it is because I want to; because I believe in myself and what I am doing. I am enjoying every moment of this life of caring for others and am glad I finally discovered within myself what I was sent here to do!
