Taxes and accounting, phooey!

There is certainly a reason that I have always hated my accounting degree. I hate accounting and taxes! I have been working all afternoon on this crap. I thought when I signed up for an online accounting software that all I would have to do is record my sales and expenses and poof, they would be recorded and I would be able to have my income statements and balance sheet, be able to pay my taxes and all would be fine with the world. Come to find out, there is much more work than that to do with all this crap!
All I want to do is to be able to take care of people without having to be concerned about doing a bunch of accounting and tax recording – which (have I mentioned) I really hate to do! I simply want to get up every day and be able to show my clients that With Age Comes Respect.
Every business owner has to go through this. Many are fortunate enough to have actual bookkeepers to do the work for them. Me? Not so much. In fact, I do the work for the business which includes everything: marketing, bill paying, shopping, food preparation and service to each client. On top of that I write two blogs and then I am a freelance writer for various organizations. I am also a mom and a homeowner. Wow, I am making myself feel overburdened and very, very tired right about now.
Oh well, hopefully now that I am getting the hang of all this, I will be able to keep up better this year….I hope!
