Received some bad new last night

One of my very favorite clients (I think I say that about all of my clients, don’t I?), is relocating to assisted living center very soon. My services will no longer be necessary.
This is not the type of news any elderly caregiver wants to receive, but the fact remains that this news is much better than the alternative news that I will never be able to even visit a client again. At least I will still have that opportunity.
I get very attached to those I vow to serve. I love them as though they were my very own flesh and blood! Hopefully I am not alone in this as every elderly caregiver should vow to show that With Age Comes Respect; at least that is how I look at things!
I am passionate about the services that I provide. This week I will be dedicating myself to doing a little something extra for each of my female clients since Mother’s Day is readily approaching. Although many caregivers would not ever consider doing something like this, I believe that the little extras are just as important as the everyday services that I provide!
Today will be hard as I will stop by to say goodbye, but this will not be our last encounter. I will stop over as time permits and visit because friendship does not end just because I no longer get paid to provide for these individuals. Friendship is forever!
