Preparing myself for this week (Posted late on 06/15 from 06/14)

This week is going to be one of the hardest weeks I have had as an elderly caregiver. It is one thing if a client dies, it is totally another thing to know that my client is still alive and in someone else’s care. I am totally going to miss my client. I love her so much.
I know that there will be other clients, but I have been with this particular client since basically the beginning of my business. She was my third client.
I will be very sad, but I appreciate more than anything the opportunity to get to know and to love this client. If it was not for her, I would not know what I know now – or be able to appreciate everything that she taught me.
I just have to know that she will be doing very well; she will be taken care of like the balance of us cannot really do for her at this point in her life. Her well-being is my major concern just as it has been since I began working with her. All I want is for everyone involved in her life to show her that With Age Comes Respect.

About melissalstoneburner

Melissa is the proud mother of two boys. She also like to take care of all of her elderly clients as though they were her actual flesh and blood, too. Melissa began her elderly care business, Time to Care, in August, 2012. Since then, she has successfully seen several clients through life and onto the next life. She writes about what she knows, what she doesn't know, and reveals all the research in between. She believes that elderly care is the best thing she has ever done in life; second only to being a mother!
