I am so happy that every two weeks I get to visit a nearly-96-year-old angel. She is so cut and so funny. I just love to see her and spend time with her!
The great thing is that this woman has all her faculties so we get to have the best conversations ever. We talk about the past, we talk about the Blackhawks (she’s a huge fan!) and we talk about the future. If only these conversations could last forever!
For whatever time I have, I am grateful. I love to show such wonderful people as this woman that With Age Comes Respect!
In her words, she says that she is grateful for me, too, because she loves the fact that I listen. Many seniors feel as if they are bothering their families with thief ranting. I think they are precious and I feel special that they confide in me!
I have already had two seniors placed in different situations this year. I miss them both terribly, so I am grateful that I get to have some faces stay with me until the bitter end.
I really do love these people and I want them to know that I love them. I appreciate that they trust me with their care and all I want to do is make them proud!
