The four types of B12 – (Posted late on 01/10/16 from 01/06/16)

While reviewing the Global Healing Center Website’s view on Vitamin B12 Benefits, I also discovered what I was originally looking for – and that was the four types of B12 vitamins. They are as follows:

  1. Methylcobalamin
  2. Cyanocobalamin
  3. Hydroxocobalamin
  4. Adenosylcobalamin

Through one of these four types of B12, you should be able to get enough of this pertinent vitamin into your diet. According to the website data, approximately 40% of the population in just the United States alone suffer from some form of B12 deficiency. To me (and many healthcare professionals) it is very disturbing to discover that nearly half of our population do not get enough of this important vitamin in their system. One can only imagine how many of that 40% are senior citizens!

Hopefully, if I introduce the four types of the vitamin, as a caregiver, you will be able to pass on the information to your clients and their family members so that those in your care will be able to choose the correct form of B12 so that their systems will be all the healthier for it!

By relating this information and helping your clients and family members understand, you will be showing everyone involved just how important it is for you to display that With Age Comes Respect.
